To help break this perception designers need to make it clear that great design isn’t always the best looking design, but instead great design is the most effective design.
To be effective you have to have a design process that accounts for the client's goals, audience need and the competitive environment, as well as a way to quickly develop concepts, test design options, implement and evaluate outcomes.
